Bootstrapping Your Business Panel Discussion

On Tuesday, October 27, 2009 at 7:30 am, I will be moderating a panel on bootstrapping your business. The panel is being hosted by the Georgetown University Club of Georgia, and non-alumni are absolutely welcome. This panel is timely because, as you may have guessed, start-up funds have gotten hard to come by. The discussion is also timely with respect to StartupLounge’s 2010 strategic plan. I will elaborate upon our plan in a later blog post, but at the center of our strategy is that we have made our point about engaging investors in the entrepreneurial community. Our conversation and message will focus more strongly on venture building skills and resources. High growth ventures can be and have been built without millions or even thousands of dollars of capital.

Our five panelists have either helped others bootstrap their businesses or successfully accomplished the bootstrapped business themselves. It’s going to be a great panel. If you’re stuck in your venture due to lack of resources, you need to be here.

The panel, as mentioned above, is at 7:30 am on Tuesday, October 27th at The Ravinia Club. There is a $15 fee which covers our costs. (Sorry, it’s not a StartupLounge event, so it’s not free) If you’d really like to attend but the $15 fee is a barrier, please contact me privately and we’ll see about arranging a “scholarship”.
